Our Story 
NestFresh began in 1991 when a family from Colorado wanted to create a company that reflected its views on animal welfare and sustainability. NestFresh was built upon the principle that when businesses do the right thing everyone, from hens to humans, benefits. We are proud that these fundamentals are still the basis of our business to this day.
In our early years we serviced the Colorado area exclusively with our locally produced and packaged eggs. NestFresh quickly became Colorado’s favorite eggs and we wanted to allow others across the country to enjoy the great taste of NestFresh cage free and organic eggs. As advocates of locally produced products, we were faced with the dilemma of how to provide humane products nationally without increasing our environmental impact by shipping eggs across the country. It was clear that the most environmentally responsible solution was to source eggs from regional farms.
Today we use regional, family owned farms so that we can supply farm fresh NestFresh cage free eggs in the most sustainable manner possible. Each of these farms are certified cage free by third party auditors committed to farm animal welfare to guarantee that they meet our strict standards of quality and humane animal treatment.
