October is Non-GMO Month and we couldn’t be more excited to be celebrating with our friends at the Non-GMO Project! We worked with them to be the first to produce eggs with the Non-GMO Project Verified seal on them.
The process to produce our non-GMO eggs starts with seeds that are non-GMO. This ensures our feed ingredients are GMO free. Next, the grains are tested after harvest to ensure that cross-contamination has been limited. Finally, at the feed mill, each batch of feed is tested. This process allows us to offer third party verified non-GMO eggs.
Thanks to our network of family farmers, we are now growing thousands of acres of non-GMO corn and soybeans to feed our hens.
